Our Advantage
Airplanes
Climb aboard Iolani Air’s 8 seater Airvan. Everybody gets a big picture window seat! And the plane’s big high wing makes for the most stable tour in the business- this means our planes return with clean empty sick sacks!
Customers who prefer lighter planes go for our trusty four seat Cessna Skyhawk.
"Not 2 hours? Not a Full Circle."
Our motto “Now Really See Hawaii” has as much to do with route of flight as it does with visibility and comfort. We fly a true circle around the entire perimeter of the Big Island- this should take at least 2 hours. When somebody sells you on a “Circle Island Tour”, ask them how long it takes- less than two hours? What island are they on? Hey, they call this the Big Island for a reason.
Above It All
Iolani pilots are unique and sought after. Calm, engaging, and fun each one carries the aeronautical, geographical, historical & cultural knowledge to be the best guide pilots in the business. Interact with them too. Your own aviation headsets allows for you two way communication as you coast over points of interest. Don’t be shy. Ask lots of questions. And if you have any doubt about Iolani pilots, just ask our competition why they keep trying to lure them to the dark side…
Reliability
Because we can go with as few as two passengers on board your being rescheduled due to annoying minimum seating policies (common in the air tour industry) goes away.
One passenger, large groups, and special needs just contact us in advance.

Safety
Safety should be a priority for anyone boarding an aircraft. Iolani Air exceeds FAA safety minimums. Our tour pilots have three times the amount of flight time and our planes are inspected twice as often as required by the FAA. Iolani Air is the only air tour company to have on site a FAA approved Level III flight simulator. Our pilots stay extra sharp. Visit Hawaii Flight Academy
